<p>Position Overview</p> <p>F.H. Paschen has created a robust Internship Program that provides students pursuing construction, or other curriculums within the built environment, with the opportunity to gain knowledge, work experience and an advantage over their peers at graduation. The Construction Intern is primarily a summer position to work with a project team and gain experience, in preparation for a career in Construction Project Management. The intern's placement can range from pre-construction through project closeout. Responsibilities may include, but won't be limited to, subcontractor solicitation, quantity takeoffs, project documentation and field coordination and supervision.</p> <p>The Safety Intern assists in monitoring the project site to ensure construction project safety.</p> <p>Pay: $22 - $24/hr.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Analyzing the safety performance of work performed </li><li>Understanding laws and regulations pertaining to OSHA </li><li>Conducting job inspections of construction areas </li><li>Identifying, documenting, and recommending resolution of hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions </li><li>Confirming corrections have been made to hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions. </li><li>Investigating property damage and personal injury accidents </li><li>Assisting in conducting employee and insurance inspections </li><li>Assisting in emergency rescues as required </li><li>Assisting in maintaining fire protection and grounding systems </li><li>Compiling data, photographs, pertinent forms, and reports, as well as conducting employee interviews associated with accidents. </li><li>Conducting industrial hygiene samples to ensure safe working conditions. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul>
