<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>The Chief Information Officer (CIO) provides strategic leadership and oversight for all information technology functions within SCDC. </li><li>This role is responsible for developing and executing the agency's technology vision, ensuring secure, reliable and innovative systems that support correctional operations, public safety, and rehabilitative services. </li><li>Lead the planning, implementation, and management of enterprise-wise IT systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity programs. </li><li>Oversee technology initiatives that support facility operations, offender management systems, reentry programs, and administrative functions. </li><li>Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to data security, privacy, and criminal justice information systems. </li><li>Direct IT governance, budgeting, procurement, and vendor management. </li><li>Collaborate with executive leadership, correctional facility administrators, law enforcement partners, and state technology agencies to align technology solutions with operational needs. </li></ul> <p>Questions regarding the application process, this job posting or any other postings with the SCDC should be directed to:</p> <p>Recruiting and Employment Services</p> <p>(803) 896-1649</p> <p>Employment@doc.sc.gov</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>A bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, information technology, mathematics, statistics, management information science, or a related field and experience in telecommunications, data processing and/or information technology.</p> <p>SCDC Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>A bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, information technology, mathematics, statistics, management information science, or a related field and ten years' experience in telecommunications, data processing and/or information technology.</p> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>The South Carolina Department of Corrections is committed to providing equal opportunities to all applicants and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information.</p> <p>Supplemental questions are considered part of your official application.
