These efforts are monitored and assessed regularly to ensure accountability to all stakeholders.</p> <p><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>____</strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Senior Director of Strategic Planning provides leadership for the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of Lawrence Public Schools' (LPS) strategic plan. The Senior Director ensures that the district's strategic priorities are consistently aligned across all schools, offices, and departments, promoting student achievement, equity, and continuous improvement. This role leads districtwide efforts to monitor progress and uphold accountability measures aligned with LPS's strategic goals and compliance requirements.</p> <p>The Senior Director guides the creation of school-based and departmental strategic plans, leveraging data and evidence-based practices to drive improved outcomes. In partnership with other offices, this position supports the identification and adoption of innovative programs and practices that advance district priorities. The Senior Director also engages internal and external stakeholders to communicate strategic progress, build collaborative relationships, and foster transparency.</p> <p><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>____</strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Strategic Plan Leadership </li></ul> <p>o Lead the development, implementation, and refinement of the district's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with the vision, mission, and goals of Lawrence Public Schools.</p> <p>o Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to embed strategic priorities in school and departmental planning processes.</p> <ul> <li>Accountability and Continuous Improvement </li></ul> <p>o Establish and maintain an accountability framework for measuring progress toward district goals, including the collection, analysis, and reporting of relevant data.</p> <p>o Provide expert guidance on continuous improvement processes, including identifying root causes, monitoring implementation, and measuring effectiveness of strategic initiatives.</p> <p>o Collaborate with district leadership to ensure that policies, practices, and procedures align with strategic objectives and comply with applicable regulations.</p> <ul> <li>Stakeholder Engagement and Communication </li></ul> <p>o Engage with school-based leaders, central office staff, and community partners to build consensus, foster collaboration, and drive consistent implementation of strategic initiatives.</p> <p>o Serve as the primary point of contact for matters related to strategic planning throughout the district.</p> <ul> <li>Capacity Building and Training </li></ul> <p>o Develop and lead professional development offerings for school and district leaders to strengthen their understanding and execution of strategic planning principles.</p> <p>o Introduce and model effective use of data-driven decision-making and improvement tools, encouraging innovation and best practices across all levels of the organization.</p> <ul> <li>Innovation and Program Development </li></ul> <p>o Lead efforts to research, evaluate, and propose new programs or practices that align with the district's strategic vision and promote equity, achievement, and continuous improvement.</p> <p>o Partner with internal and external stakeholders to pilot and scale innovative strategies that address districtwide needs.</p> <p><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>____</strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></p> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of strategic planning methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks. </li><li>Demonstrated experience using data to inform decision-making and measure program effectiveness. </li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences. </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including district leaders, school staff, community members, and external partners. </li><li>Commitment to equity, inclusivity, and high expectations for all students. </li><li>Strong organizational skills, with the capacity to balance multiple priorities and projects effectively. </li><li>Adaptive and innovative mindset, able to guide organizational change and foster a culture of continuous improvement. </li></ul> <p><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>____</strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></p> <p>Qualifications & Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Education, Public Administration, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field. </li><li>Experience: Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience focusing on strategic planning, program implementation, or related areas. </li><li>Technical Skills: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic frameworks, analyze data, and engage stakeholders effectively. </li><li>Travel: Occasional travel within the district may be required. </li></ul> <p><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>____</strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></p> <p>Pay Range $130,000-$147,000</p> <p><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>____</strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></strong></p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>Lawrence Public Schools is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive environment for employees and applicants.
