An addition to our team.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Under the general direction of the Category Management & Business Development Manager, the Senior Category Analyst is responsible for assisting with category reviews and new item sell-in opportunities, delivering insights on retailer/shopper trends and competitive activity, identifying opportunities to improve category sales through optimal assortment & shelving recommendations and providing analytic/reporting support to internal and external audiences.</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for leveraging syndicated data and category management tools to maximize brand positioning and sales growth through actionable insights. </li><li>Provide account specific data analysis, reporting, and presentation development to contribute to sales stories. </li><li>Recommend category strategies designed to grow the Applegate brand and overall product categories. </li><li>Communicate with retailers, sales, sales strategy, and marketing on all aspects of the category and customer account relationship. Attend key account presentations sharing insights and recommendations to ensure mutual growth. </li><li>Prepare reports and analyses that measure performance and results; track market trends; and monitor competition. Develop processes and tools for collecting and utilizing retailer shopper card data insights and communicate pertinent findings to team members. </li><li>Collaborate with Sales Strategy and Revenue Growth Management in the execution of space management recommendations, assortment optimization and pricing & promotion recommendations with the goal of creating positive functional retailer relationships and establishing category leadership in the natural/organic space. </li><li>Provide analytical support to the respective sales manager on category reviews, business reviews and new item sell-in opportunities. </li><li>Intellectual curiosity, ability to make connections and link disparate data sources into meaningful insights and perform other related category management duties as required. </li><li>Assists in developing analytical skills and knowledge of others across the Applegate organization with respect to syndicated data. </li><li>Provides analysis, insights, and recommendations during customer planning sessions. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Food Marketing. </li><li>5+ years CPG Food Experience. </li><li>3+ years Category Management Experience. </li><li>Proven analytical skills. </li><li>Must be proficient in pulling and analyzing data from NielsenIQ Discover, SPINS Satori, Circana Unify and dunnhumby. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint, and pivot table and macro experience in Excel is a plus. </li><li>Experience with building sales presentations and effectively present insights. </li><li>Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). </li><li>Strong knowledge of Consumer Food Products Industry is preferred, and knowledge of the Natural/Organic space is a plus. </li><li>Ability to think strategically and work in a team environment. </li><li>A willingness to lead, take charge, offer opinions and direction. </li><li>84.51 and Numerator experience is a plus. </li><li>Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States </li><li>Applicants must not now, or any time in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa. </li></ul> <p>LOCATION: Applegate Corporate Office - Bedminster, NJ</p> <p>TRAVEL: 10-20%</p> <p>BENEFITS: Applegate Farms/Justin's offers an excellent benefits package.
