Therefore, we seek applicants who can demonstrate their understanding of justice and who can inspire our increasingly diverse student population.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain campus lawns, trees and shrubs </li><li>Remove snow and ice from stairs, walks and ramps </li><li>Operate trucks, salt spreaders, tractors and snow blowers </li><li>Prepare flower beds for growing annuals and bulbs </li><li>Pick up and remove trash from campus grounds </li><li>Assist with all moves assigned in and outside of campus buildings </li><li>Set-up multiple types of sports fields/complexes </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Education and/or Experience</p> <ul> <li>High school graduate (diploma/GED) required </li><li>Knowledge and ability to use hand tools/heavy Equipment </li><li>Mechanical knowledge preferred </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work out of doors in all types of weather </li><li>Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of job </li></ul> <p>Human Relations Skills</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work effectively with people regardless of their age, gender, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, ability, socio-economic background, or job type. </li></ul> <p>Other Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Has valid motor vehicle license and be insurable under the University's insurance plan preferred </li><li>Shift worked may be adjusted by your supervisor based on departmental needs </li><li>Must be available for a mandatory On-Call operation for the winter season </li><li>Candidates must be willing and able to support and advance the University mission. </li></ul> <p>Please submit a cover letter and resume for this position along with this electronic application.</p> <p>Carroll University makes employment opportunities available to qualified individuals whose skills and experience make them suitable candidates for placement.
