<p>OVERVIEW</p> <p>Perform all associated tasks included in line assembly operations to mass-produce products. To work efficiently and safely, while maintaining target range on the following KPI's: discrepancies, accidents, repairs, reworks, material yield, desired ship dates and inventory cycle counts.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Work at different workstations as production needs require </li><li>Assemble and label products for stock as needed </li><li>Assist Quality Control in production </li><li>Verify sales order to assembled parts and/or finished product </li><li>Adhere product logos and serial numbers on products properly </li><li>Steel cutting with band saw or other shop equipment </li><li>Composite layup </li><li>Fabric cutting to support ballistic composite and blanket production </li><li>Observe all safety regulations and procedures of the facility </li><li>Assist with keeping production area clean and organized </li><li>Participate in kaizen activities to achieve productivity and quality improvements </li><li>Train associates as required </li><li>Perform support operations, including, but not limited to Crane Operator, Forklift Operator and Team Lead, Inventory, Receiving and/or Planning Backup </li><li>Notify supervisor of non-conforming product </li><li>Notify supervisor of unsafe equipment or work practices </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Two to 3 years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>High School Diploma or general education degree (GED). </li><li>General knowledge in the use of hand tools and shop operations </li><li>Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos </li><li>Ability to write simple correspondence </li><li>Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization </li><li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals </li><li>Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs </li><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions </li><li>Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations </li><li>Must work well with others and be a team member </li><li>Ability to accept direction from a peer. </li><li>Standing, sitting, lifting 40 pounds, use of equipment, manual and powered. </li></ul>
