<p>Office of Workforce Development:</p> <p>The Office of Workforce Development (OWD) administers several federal workforce programs and oversees a network of local OhioMeansJobs centers, which provide free job training and other services for Ohioans looking for work and employers seeking workers. OWD also assists job seekers through OhioMeansJobs.com, an online job matching system that brings both employers and job seekers to one easy-to-use website. Learn more about the office by visiting the ODJFS OWD webpage.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Read and interpret CCMEP policy which includes both the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Youth program and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families programs. </li><li>Answer technical assistance questions received from local stakeholders and the public about CCMEP policy. </li><li>Ensure local CCMEP programs are following both state and federal guidelines. </li><li>Develop and present training in-person and virtually on CCMEP policy, strategies, systems use and the coaching case management model. </li><li>Visit local programs and meet with them both in-person and virtually to provide technical assistance related to CCMEP, strategies, systems use and the coaching case management model. </li><li>Review performance corrective action plans and develop responses. </li><li>Review CCMEP local plans and local policies to recommend approval or modifications. </li><li>Draft and review written materials about CCMEP policy, procedures, systems use and coaching model for distribution. </li><li>Work with internal partners in performance, policy, systems, other programs and other subject matter experts to develop content and provide technical assistance. </li></ul> <p>Necessary Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, training content platform, and Internal Systems (i.e., case management, fiscal information, performance, etc.) </li><li>Initiative and follow through on tasks </li><li>Attention to detail </li><li>Ability to build and maintain good working relationships </li><li>Critical thinking to interpret policies </li><li>Plain Language and professional writing skills </li><li>Customer service skills </li><li>Creative Problem-Solving skills </li><li>Ability to adapt to changing priorities and processes </li><li>Efficient time management and multi-tasking skills </li></ul> <p>Schedule: Standard workdays are Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. with the possibility of an approved flex schedule depending operational need.</p> <p>Travel:</p> <ul> <li>In-person attendance at quarterly & annual team meetings (location rotates across Ohio). </li><li>In-person attendance to for technical assistance and training several times a month across Ohio. </li></ul> <p>PN(s): 20033574</p> <p>The ideal candidate, at minimum, must have the following:</p> <p>OPTION 1:</p> <ul> <li>18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. exp. in state & federal regulations governing implemented training &/or employment programs </li></ul> <p>AND</p> <ul> <li>18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. exp. in public relations </li></ul> <p>AND</p> <ul> <li>18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. exp. in human resources training & development programs </li></ul> <p>AND</p> <ul> <li>6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in labor market data & employment trends </li></ul> <p>AND</p> <ul> <li>3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in manpower planning </li></ul> <p>AND</p> <ul> <li>3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in operation of computer terminal &/or personal computer </li></ul> <p>Or:</p> <ul> <li>Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above </li></ul> <p>Tips For Your Application</p> <p>When completing the different sections of this application, be sure to clearly describe how you meet the minimum qualifications outlined in this job posting. Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $27.92 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year.
