<p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Education or Social Work recommended. </li><li>Three or more years of successful experience in an educational or child services setting required; child protection casework, teaching, school leadership, counseling, or mentoring preferred. </li><li>Experience working with foster youth preferred. </li><li>Excellent communication and documentation skills required. </li><li>Proficient with using Office 365. </li><li>Experience working with foster youth or the child welfare system preferred. </li><li>Understanding of Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) as it relates to school settings, educational rights and requirements of foster children/system engaged youth, and processes for academic support preferred. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to form positive, supportive relationships with school district personnel. </li><li>Documentation of a clear criminal record in compliance with state statue </li><li>Complies with drug-free workplace rules and Board policy </li></ul> <p>Note: This assignment may require a valid driver's license and access/availability of a reliable vehicle. Employees must meet all prerequisite and ongoing qualifications to be covered by the service center's insurance carrier.</p> <p>FLSA Classification: Exempt</p> <p>Reports To: EPSEA Program Manager</p> <p>Job Objectives:</p> <p>The Lead serves as the Leader of the Elementary/Middle School or High School Educational Liaison teams; providing coaching and consult guidance to ensure their efforts support each referred FCCS youth's positive academic, attendance, behaviorial and social emotional learning outcomes. The Team Lead will advise Educational Liaisons to ensure successful partnership with school personnel, foster parents, kinship providers, and FCCS caseworkers. Additionally, the Team Lead will support workflows to ensure timely referral process, accurate documentation, and compliant case files are in adherence to EPSEA protocol and procedures.</p> <p>Responsibilities and Essential Functions:</p> <p>"The following duties are representative of performance expectations: however, the list below is not ranked in order of importance."</p> <p>Encourages student development of academic, attendance, and behavioral goals. Provide day to day management of the ESSA process including:</p> <ul> <li>Provide day to day support, coaching, and advising to Educational Liaison's to ensure their successful delivery of academic, attendance, and behavior supports to EPSEA referred youth. </li><li>Advise Educational Liaison's to ensure their quality partnership with schools and FCCS in line with EPSEA procedures and policies. </li><li>Staff liaison caseloads minimum 1x per month and provide timely feedback and coaching to strengthen liaison efforts in pursuit of positive academic, attendance, and behavior outcomes for referred youth. </li><li>Consult with Liaison's in the participation and or facilitation of collaborative meetings with stakeholders, i.e. parent/guardian/foster parent, student, schoolstaff and FCCS. </li><li>Thoroughly review monthly SACWIS submissions and provide timely feedback to Liaison's to ensure accuracy and professional documentation is submitted to FCCS funder. </li><li>Collaborate with Program Director and second Program Manager to ensure program fidelity and in form professional and programming development needs and strategic plans. </li><li>Maintains current knowledge of the program's policies and procedure protocols to ensure staff adherence and assist in documenting, improving and streamlining systems with Program Director. </li><li>Understand Social Emotional Learning (SEL) development in the context of serving the whole child academically and social-emotionally and provide coaching, resources and training to Liaisons forsuccessful implementation of SEL with students. </li><li>Work to understand and connect FCCS and community opportunities to students and caregivers. </li><li>Participates in the Partnership4Success Collaborative and ongoing professional development offered through FCCS, ESC and other opportunities as offered. </li><li>Track and coach Educational Liaison professional goals and evaluate their efforts annually. </li><li>Must possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Tracks time and miles using Office 365 Calendar and Monthly Mileage log. </li><li>Carry a caseload of a minimum of 5 students. </li><li>Performs other specific job-related duties as directed by the Superintendent or his/her designee </li></ul> <p>"Job performance is evaluated according to the policy provisions adopted by the Governing Board of the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio."</p> <p>Conduct:</p> <p>Each staff member shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance and abuse of any prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment with the ESC.</p> <p>Terms of Employment:</p> <p>Each staff member shall serve as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, intelligent human beings.
