PETERSBURG, PINNELLAS COUNTY</p> <p>CONTACT PERSON Melissa Fuller, Chief Probation Officer (727) 423-4175</p> <p>STARTING SALARY $15.00 per hour</p> <p>JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Perform general maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds and equipment and other miscellaneous items as directed. This includes performing preventative maintenance on all buildings and related equipment.</p> <p>Prepare and paint interior and exterior of buildings and other miscellaneous item as directed.</p> <p>Assist with HVAC maintenance and operations.</p> <p>Install, maintain, and repair valves, faucets, traps, sinks, water closets and urinals.</p> <p>Perform general carpentry work in the alteration, repair and maintenance of buildings, floors, doors, and windows.</p> <p>Repair defective components in lighting fixtures, replace burned out bulbs, replace defective electrical switches and receptacles.</p> <p>Relocate furniture and equipment from building to building as required. Move furniture and equipment, load and/or unload trucks with furniture or other items such as couches, chairs, boxes, records, and general supplies, etc.</p> <p>Perform janitorial duties as needed including: Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, carpet cleaning, striping and waxing floors. Maintaining restroom facilities in a clean and sanitary condition. Emptying garbage and keeping the floors clean in the offices.</p> <p>Maintain building security; ensure facilities are secured at the end of each day.</p> <p>Maintain outside premises, including sweeping walks, picking up liter, cleaning windows etc.</p> <p>Perform/assist in hurricane preparedness program.</p> <p>Perform other related duties as required.</p> <p>Take pride in personal appearance and perform all duties with a commitment to excellence.</p> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</p> <p>Knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.</p> <p>Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve building functions and issues.</p> <p>Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate building maintenance and repair.</p> <p>Ability to assist with maintenance, construction, and repair work performed by outside vendors.</p> <p>Ability to communicate effectively with staff and co-workers.</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>A high school diploma or its equivalent is required.</p> <p>Valid Drivers License required.</p> <p>Two years experience in property maintenance, construction, and/or facility repairs.</p> <p>Good physical condition and ability to do manual labor.
