<p>Job Description</p> <p>US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED</p> <p>#LI-SW2</p> <p>BAE Space & Mission Systems is looking for a new Indirect Strategic Sourcing member that will drive operational efficiencies and cost savings. This position will lead initiatives across the company that will result in hard and soft cost savings, both are critically important. This will directly support Facilities and Construction strategic sourcing but will benefit from general strategic sourcing process knowledge so that it can be applied across key areas of spend.</p> <p>The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution - from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management.</p> <p>The Integrated Supply Chain team has a direct impact on program success, acting as a critical chain that links the end-to-end material flow together. Our organization helps propel us forward and achieve true mission partnership.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Support and help implement Supply Chain Strategic Sourcing activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Help execute RFx steps within the Strategic Sourcing process.</p> </li><li> <p>Help produce baseline, market analysis, current supplier analysis, build strategies, negotiate, write and execute contracts.</p> </li><li> <p>Fulfill savings, process improvements and enhanced business terms.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate across multiple departments to gain consensus for hard and soft cost savings.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist Indirect Procurement leadership to help operational leaders to understand business processes and structure to improve.</p> </li><li> <p>Help develop and implement new operational processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Use quantitative/qualitative skills to analyze and manage large quantities of data to understand trends and opportunities.</p> </li><li> <p>Work directly with suppliers to understand new and better initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Make sure purchase orders are processed to vendors in a timely manner. Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.</p> </li><li> <p>Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as necessary.</p> </li></ul> <p>On-Site Work Environment: position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.</p> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor. </li></ul> <p>Required Education, Experience, & Skills</p> <ul> <li> <p>BS/BA plus 4 or more years' related experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Each higher-level related degree, i.e. Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Two years of related experience may be substituted for each year of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience managing end-to-end Construction project bid activity as well as contract drafting and negotiation</p> </li><li> <p>Project management skills</p> </li><li> <p>Initiative to work independently with little guidance.</p> </li><li> <p>Pays critical attention to detail with thorough checking to maintain high quality information.</p> </li><li> <p>Multitask and be open to stretch projects that may not always be directly related to Sourcing activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Problem solve with little or no direction.</p> </li></ul> <p>Pay Information</p> <p>Full-Time Salary Range: $81156 - $137964</p> <p>Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
