<p>Pay Rate: $15 an hour, plus commission, tips, and a 90 day commission guarantee</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Analyze guests' hair and features and make appropriate recommendations for beauty treatments, hair styles promoting appropriate hair care products based on need </li><li>Shampoo, rinse, condition and dry hair and scalp </li><li>Straighten, curl, or style hair as requested </li><li>Keep work area clean and sanitize tools and equipment </li><li>Update / maintain guest records with beauty services provided and preferences </li><li>Provide Makeup consultations and applications including special occasion make-up </li><li>Perform a variety Manicure and Pedicure services offered on the Spa Menu </li><li>Remove previously applied polish, shape and smooth nails and apply polish </li><li>Assess guests' hands and feet and exfoliate, massage, apply treatments </li><li>Recommend and promote nail care products based on guests' needs </li><li>Complete monthly inventory to keep stock levels up to Par </li><li>Recommend and schedule guests future appointments </li><li>Provide backup support to Spa Receptionist </li><li>Process cash, credit, debit card, and comp transactions for services and retail products </li><li>Handle incoming calls, schedule appointments and answer questions regarding the property </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES</p> <p>Knowledge and Certification- Required:</p> <ul> <li>Current Minnesota cosmetology licensure or capability for Minnesota reciprocity </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of current styles/trends, perform chemical services and design techniques </li></ul> <p>Skills- Required:</p> <ul> <li>Accurate and detail-oriented </li><li>Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities </li><li>Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills </li></ul> <p>Abilities- Required:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work fast and efficiently </li><li>Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene </li><li>Ability to learn appropriate product and equipment usage </li><li>Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner </li><li>Ability to enthusiastically and professionally sell spa products and services </li><li>Ability to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voice </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to walk or stand for long periods throughout the day </li><li>Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel and stoop </li><li>Must be able to reach and twist routinely </li><li>Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely </li><li>Must have the ability to independently lift up to 25+ pounds occasionally </li><li>Must have manual dexterity necessary to manipulate styling tools </li><li>Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions </li><li>Must have good eye hand coordination </li></ul> <p>WORKING ENVIRONMENT</p> <ul> <li>Work is performed in the Spa, which includes chemicals, aroma therapy scents and nail products; May require going on the gaming floor, which has flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke </li><li>Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters </li><li>Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays </li><li>Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals </li><li>High volume direct public contact </li></ul>
