As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with daily activities, monitoring health status, and assisting clinical staff with treatments and procedures.This position follows a three-shift rotating schedule per week, including days, evenings, and nights, offering variety and flexibility in a fast-paced hospital environment.This role is ideal for individuals who are attentive, dependable, and committed to creating a safe, respectful, and patient-centered experience. You will have opportunities to contribute to care delivery, build clinical skills, and participate in ongoing learning within a dynamic team.Job Description:Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver compassionate, hands-on patient support by:Assisting with activities of daily living, including hygiene, nutrition, elimination, mobility, comfort, and safetyMonitoring and documenting vital signs, patient weight, intake/output, and other key dataCompleting assigned patient treatments and supporting clinicians with more advanced proceduresSupport clinical care and diagnostics by:Performing phlebotomy and EKGsApplying Holter monitors and performing glucometryCollecting, labeling, and preparing specimens accuratelyEnhance the patient experience by:Responding promptly to patient call lights and ensuring concerns are resolvedTransporting discharged patients safelyProviding one-to-one observation when neededCollaborate and grow within the care team by:Participating in patient care roundsAttending conferences and educational programs as appropriateMaintaining required unit competenciesEnsure readiness and compliance by:Maintaining BCLS certificationAttending the annual Safety Education FairRequired QualificationsEducation & Skills:High school diploma or equivalentAbility to read and write at a Level 8, as documented in "Invest" (hospital Employee Learning Laboratory software)Communication & Interpersonal Strengths:Strong verbal communication skills to ensure accurate information exchangeExcellent interpersonal skills to engage respectfully with patients, visitors, and team members Pay Range: $20.00 - $26.92The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
