This includes transportation, assisting with positioning, and patient preparation for procedures as required. Responsible for environmental needs in the department and acting as a runner. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.</p> <p>You Will Be Responsible For:</p> <p>Demonstrates, through behavior, AdventHealth's core values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship and Teamwork.</p> <p>Utilizes associated competencies, on file in Cardiology, for the following responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Cleans between cases, monitor terminal cleans (performs, if necessary), cleans electronic equipment in room(s). Communicates with EVS on following issues: soiled utility room, mops, supplies, doctors' lounge and waiting room. Removes and replaces "black boxes" and "sharp boxes" as dated or used.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures safe transport, transfer and positioning of patients utilizing good body mechanics. Maintains patient privacy and dignity at all times. Adheres to policies related to patient identification and confidentiality.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in the preparation of the patient for procedures as directed by Nurse or Invasive Technologist. Cooperates as part of the multidisciplinary team by communicating pertinent patient information to the Nurse or Invasive Technologist and completing delegated duties as directed.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures appropriate disposition of supplies, labs and specimens. May remove medications from the pneumatic tube system for immediate delivery to the Nurse or Invasive Technologist or for securing purposes in the medication room.
