<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Oversee all aspects of the Performing Arts including the academic areas (Theater, Art, Music, & Digital Media) and the booking and operations of the VanTrease Performing Arts Center for Education.</p> <p>Essential Duties</p> <p>Select, supervise, evaluate, and develop the faculty and staff members of Visual and Performing Arts.</p> <p>Formulate policy for the school in accordance with TCC's Strategic Plan. Collaborate with faculty and staff as well as peers to develop cohesive plans.</p> <p>Provide conflict resolution and mediation for student, staff, and faculty concerns that are beyond the scope of the faculty department chair.</p> <p>Administer the budget by collaborating with faculty and staff to determine funding needs and priorities, prepare the school budget, manage and transfer funds within the school's budget to support projects that accomplish student learning outcomes.</p> <p>Oversee the regular review, development, and revision of articulation agreements with university partners.</p> <p>Oversee assessment and the annual program review process and make recommendations regarding program productivity.</p> <p>Manage and evaluate all activities and functions in the Performing Arts Center for Education. Work cooperatively with the college administration and faculty to provide facilities and support services to meet the needs of the college.</p> <p>Monitor and oversee course scheduling and faculty teaching assignments.</p> <p>Develop and manage financial and other resources by participating in seeking, developing, and managing external grants that promote strategic learning objectives supporting the school's mission.</p> <p>Review proposals for cultural and performing arts activities with sponsoring groups; serve as a resource.</p> <p>Analyze and evaluate the use and operation of the Performing Arts Center for Education and makes recommendations for policy and procedure revisions as needed.</p> <p>Work to identify alternative funding sources and write grant proposals to support educational and cultural needs for internal and external clients; advises regarding policies, procedures, and scheduling; prepare and review contracts for external client's activities in the Performing Arts Center for Education.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Master's degree in a Performing Arts or Visual Arts related field.</p> <p>Leadership, communication, and managerial experience in performing arts facility management and operations appropriate to a senior leadership role in higher education.</p> <p>Experience in planning, performing arts funding, financial administration, public relations, box office operations, artist booking, contract negotiations, production</p> <p>management, audience development, artistic policy and marketing highly desirable.</p> <p>Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.</p> <p>Philosophies compatible with those of a comprehensive urban community college.</p> <p>Successful record of innovative academic leadership and commitment to the highest standards of academic quality, and institutional and personal integrity.</p> <p>Experience in strategic planning, budget development, and grant development and management.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Doctoral degree (Ph.D., J.D., Ed.D.) or terminal degree (MFA) in a Performing Arts or Visual Arts related field.</p> <p>Knowledge of curriculum processes, teaching strategies, learning theory and initiatives, and learning outcome development and assessment.</p>
