<p>Job Purpose: The PLC Programmer is responsible for the development and successful implementation of PLC programming for mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.</p> <p>What You Will Do</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work with a team of design engineers to develop system control strategies.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop Rockwell and Siemens PLC programs using:</p> </li><li> <p>P&IDs,</p> </li><li> <p>Sequence of operation documentation,</p> </li><li> <p>Project plans and specifications,</p> </li><li> <p>Customer requirements and standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform integrations to different communication protocols, including (but not limited to) Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, BACnet.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with SCADA developers to implement HMI integration and control via a SCADA software.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop simulation, bench test, factory acceptance test protocol documentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform simulations, bench tests, factory witness tests, and on-site commissioning tests of each program.</p> </li><li> <p>Position requires up to 30% travel to customer sites for deployment post-deployment support activities.</p> </li></ul> <p>What You Will Bring to The Role</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience with Rockwell and Siemens PLC </li><li>Understanding of BAS controls and Process Plant controls in different environments. </li><li>Must be able to initiate and execute programming tasks either individually or as a team, fulfilling all necessary responsibilities to ensure successful client delivery. </li><li>Must be able to read electrical, process control drawings, and P&IDs. </li><li>Must have a good understanding of mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and process systems. </li><li>Good understanding of IT networks </li><li>Experience with multiple communication protocols and Gateway networking </li><li>Modbus </li><li>Ethernet/IP </li><li>Profibus </li><li>Bacnet </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Controls Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Computer Science. </li><li>Experience with DDC, Tridium, or other BAS control systems. </li></ul>
