Benefits may vary based on state law.</p> <p>Job Overview</p> <p>The PACU Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the recovery room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe after surgery. The RN provides leadership through activities such as preceptor role and quality improvement efforts. Our PACU team enjoys a quality work-life balance through a 4/10 dayshift schedule with minimal weekend and holiday call.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Involves patient, family, and health care team members in formulating an appropriate individualized plan of care and identifies expected outcomes based on nursing assessment and diagnosis. </li><li>Implements the plan of care in partnership with the patient, family, and health care team members. </li><li>Ensures all components of the plan of care are documented in the patient health record. </li><li>Evaluates the patient/family's understanding of and response to the plan of care. </li><li>Utilizes teaching strategies appropriate to the individual patient's condition and learning needs. </li></ul> <p>This is not an all-inclusive list of this job's responsibilities.
