<p>The IS Media Tech 2 - NECAT Studio is a Civil Service position with the Nashville Public Library.  This position provides support to customers with technology networking and video/audio expertise in the production of TV programing.</p> <p>NECAT</p> <p>Nashville Education, Community, and Arts Television (NECAT) is a non-profit organization with a two-fold mission to expose middle TN viewers to arts and education programming created both locally and around the world and to teach individuals and organizations how to use NECAT equipment and resources to create and broadcast TV shows. NECAT produces three public television channels: Music City Arts (MCAtv)-arts channel, iQtv (education channel) and Access Nashville (community access channel). </p> <p>A city with a great library is a great city, and that's very true for Nashville. If you have a passion for helping people, love books and learning, and desire to be part of a team that does transformative work every day, then NPL just might be the place for you.</p> <ul> <li>Maintains studio equipment. </li><li>Provides training to the public on production technology and how to use audio equipment in the studio. </li><li>Operates cameras, tripods, pedestals, video monitors, microphones, video switcher, audio console and studio lighting. </li><li>Performs audio technician duties for events and studio recordings. </li><li>Edits NECAT produced events and assists the public with editing their projects. </li><li>Ensures NECAT channels have content running continuously. </li><li>Provides assistance with use of non-linear editing systems and media playback server maintenance. </li><li>Keeps calendar with classes, producer bookings and meetings. </li></ul> <p>High School Diploma and two (2) years of experience using video, lighting, audio and associated software tools necessary in the development and broadcast of video programs.</p> <p>OR</p> <p>Associate's Degree in a related field and one (1) year experience using video, lighting, audio and associated software tools necessary in the development and broadcast of video programs.</p> <p>Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply.</p> <p>Note: Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078.
