<p>Day Kimball Health is hiring for a CSS Tech to join our Central Sterile Supply Department, in Putnam, CT!</p> <p>Location: Putnam, CT</p> <p>Schedule: Per Diem (as needed), Day shift (7:00a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)</p> <p>Weekends: on call</p> <p>Per Diem Requirement: Per diem employees are expected to work a minimum of two 8-hour shifts (16 hours total) per month. CSS Tech II may assist in the orientation, precepting, and continuing training of other technicians. CSS Tech II must be familiar with case cart process.</p> <p>Central Sterile Supply Technician II Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for gaining advanced knowledge of instruments through the entire CSS process. This includes, but is not limited to, decontamination, assembly - complete inspection and packaging and sterilization. </li><li>Responsible for gaining knowledge and competency in case cart assembly and management. </li><li>Responds to OR needs via telephone documentation of request follow through. </li><li>Participates on Quality Improvement Teams as requested and Quality initiative in department. </li><li>Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives. </li><li>Attends variety of meetings, conferences, and seminars as required or directed. </li><li>Assists in collection and monitoring of use of quality indicators in daily operations. </li><li>Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements. </li><li>Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed. </li><li>All responsibilities are essential job functions unless noted otherwise. </li><li>Responsible for CEUs and maintaining certification with a recognized certification agency. </li></ul> <p>Central Sterile Supply Technician II Education and Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED certification. </li><li>Certification by a recognized certification agency as a Certified Central Processing Technician is required. </li><li>Advanced knowledge of CSS processing functions. </li><li>Demonstrated competencies in complex instrumentation such as but not limited to ENT, GYN/OB, Laparoscopic, Ortho, and Urology services. </li></ul> <p>Why Choose Day Kimball Health?
