<p>Job Title: Senior Functional Test EngineerJob Description</p> <p>Join a leading global automotive technology company at their Kentucky facility, where we focus on manufacturing advanced components for electric vehicles, including electric powertrain systems and autonomous driving technologies. As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be a Senior technical leader responsible for driving test strategy, design, development, and continuous improvement of electronic product testing. Your role ensures that all electronic assemblies and finished products meet quality, reliability, and customer requirements through robust test systems and methodologies.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and validate automated and manual test systems for electronic assemblies and finished products. </li><li>Create test procedures, test fixtures, and software to support production requirements. </li><li>Implement Design for Test (DFT) strategies in collaboration with product development teams. </li><li>Provide technical leadership in solving complex test and product-related issues on the production floor. </li><li>Analyze test data, identify failure trends, and drive corrective and preventive actions. </li><li>Ensure test equipment uptime and compliance with calibration and maintenance schedules. </li><li>Responsible for the First Pass Yield metric and lead initiatives to optimize test efficiency, reduce cycle times, and improve test coverage. </li><li>Drive automation, standardization, and digitalization of test processes. </li><li>Evaluate and implement new test technologies to enhance manufacturing capability. </li><li>Act as a technical mentor to junior test engineers and technicians. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality, and operations. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering or a related field. </li><li>Overall understanding of the entire test process and the tradeoffs of the various test methods. </li><li>6+ years of experience in electronic testing within a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment. </li><li>Strong time management skills to simultaneously manage multiple projects. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, .NET, C#, and LabVIEW. </li><li>Experience with Test Sequencers such as TestStand and Test Exec. </li><li>Experience in electronic circuit design and circuit debugging. </li><li>Prior engineering experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment. </li><li>Strong initiative to complete project tasks on-time and in-budget. </li><li>Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams. </li><li>Willingness to travel globally as required to support machine design and validation. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This role is based on-site in Harrodsburg within a climate-controlled, clean room facility. The team consists of 8 functional engineers and 6 technicians. The company focuses on shaping the future of mobility by manufacturing advanced components for electric vehicles and developing technologies for autonomous driving and ADAS.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Harrodsburg, KY.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
