They deliver far more than just on time and on budget-they deliver with MORE.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>This is an assistant managerial position that reports to the Project Manager and/or Sr. Project Manager for the Department.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Manage transit and aviation projects and scopes as assigned by manager. </li><li>Work with owner's representative to communicate progress of project. </li><li>Prepare preliminary estimates / budgets. </li><li>Select subcontractors to solicit bids. </li><li>Review subcontractor proposals </li><li>Prepare, review for approval, and submit contract changes/proposal to owner. </li><li>Negotiate contract changes/proposals with owners. </li><li>Solicit and process submittals and shop drawings. </li><li>Collaborate and prepare CPM project schedule. </li><li>Preparation of job cost budget. </li><li>Monitor the transit and aviation construction progress with Superintendent. </li><li>Maintain project documentation. </li><li>Investigate adverse situations and report to PM and/or Sr. PM </li><li>Represent company in project meetings, when required. </li><li>Responsible for monitoring and maintaining project costs. </li><li>Active participation in safety </li><li>Additional duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of transit and aviation construction, quantity take-offs and estimating required. </li><li>Computer skills, knowledge of Project Management, scheduling, good communication and organizational skills are necessary. </li><li>Ability to work independently on assigned projects. </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>B.S Construction Management / Engineering and / or 2-3 years general construction experience required. </li></ul>
