You'll play a vital role in ensuring the reliability of aviation repair and maintenance through training and preparation.</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <ul> <li>Set up and operate EDM machines (Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, Hole Drill EDM) to perform precision machining. </li><li>Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine machining operations. </li><li>Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators to inspect work and ensure accuracy. </li><li>Monitor machine operations and adjust settings as needed to maintain specifications. </li><li>Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of EDM equipment and work area. </li><li>Work with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues. </li><li>Maintain detailed records of production, maintenance, and quality checks. </li><li>Follow all safety protocols and company policies. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 2-5 years experience as an EDM machinist in a manufacturing environment. </li><li>Proficient in reading technical drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). </li><li>Strong knowledge of EDM processes and machine programming (FANUC, Mitsubishi, Sodick, etc.). </li><li>Familiarity with CNC programming and CAD/CAM software is a plus. </li><li>Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently and in a team environment. </li><li>Must be authorized to work in the US </li></ul> <p>:Benefits that make life better:</p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive Healthcare </li><li>401(k) with 100% company match; up to 5% vested </li><li>Paid Time Off starting on day one </li><li>Bonus opportunities </li><li>Health- & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts </li><li>Short- & Long-Term Disability </li><li>Life & AD&D Insurance </li><li>Learning & Training opportunities </li></ul> <p>Raising the Standard of Excellence since 1911</p> <p>With over a century of proven excellence, StandardAero has become an industry leader in MRO services and customized solutions in the aerospace field.
