<p>The Assistant Director of Alumni Relations is a key member of the Advancement Office, who strengthens alumni engagement through career networking, volunteerism, and meaningful connection to the School. This role is ideal for a motivated, goal-driven professional who is passionate about relationship-building. Reporting to the Director of Alumni Relations, the Assistant Director leads a variety of initiatives aimed at deepening alumni engagement and increasing alumni participation in programs that support the School's mission. This is a full-time, year-round position with full benefits.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Lead alumni mentoring and professional networking programs, including oversight of an online engagement platform. </li><li>Plan and execute in person and virtual career networking events featuring alumni across various industries. </li><li>Oversee the Alumni Admission Volunteer program in partnership with the Admission Office; recruit, train, and manage volunteers. </li><li>Manage engagement for multiple Reunion classes, including recruiting and engaging class volunteers, working with gift officers on class gifts, and assisting in the overall planning of Reunion activities. </li><li>Lead the College Connect Program, pairing upper-form students with alumni at target colleges to provide real-world insight into college life and culture. </li><li>Prepare event invitations, briefings, and related communications in partnership with Advancement Communications. </li><li>Collaborate and staff alumni and parent programming to deepen community connections. </li><li>Contribute to overall Alumni Relations efforts and perform additional duties as needed. </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree</p> <p>Prior experience:</p> <p>2-5 years experience in program management and event planning, preferably in an educational or nonprofit context</p> <p>Other Key Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and engage alumni across generations and backgrounds. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including careful proofreading. </li><li>Warm, outgoing, and genuinely interested in cultivating alumni relationships. </li><li>Team-oriented and collaborative, with a positive approach to shared goals. </li><li>Eager to understand the School's mission, history, and culture-and to share it in compelling, authentic ways. </li><li>Highly organized and detail-focused, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines. </li><li>Curious and adaptable; open to learning new technologies that support alumni engagement. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. </li><li>Willingness to travel and work evenings or weekends to support alumni events on and off campus. </li><li>Strong customer service orientation and a polished, professional presence. </li><li>Sound judgment and ability to remain composed under pressure. </li></ul>
