<p>Department</p> <p>Respiratory Care Services</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>This leader has operational accountability and oversight and manages the daily activities of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System (SMHCS) Respiratory Care Services. In this role, the leader sets the tone and models positive leadership behavior, while ensuring team tasks, projects, and responsibilities are completed successfully in support of departmental and organizational goals, embodies not only the mission of SMHCS, but also represents the profession of Respiratory Care as an ambassador for International Fellowships. This leader has knowledge of respiratory and healthcare care delivery in a variety of settings in the US and is responsible for developing an annual application for submission to the ARCF (American Respiratory Care Foundation). This role will also require communication with local Respiratory Care Education programs and the AARC International Respiratory Care Committee potentially outside of normal clinical hours during peak times. In addition to these responsibilities, the role will provide respiratory care including airway management, blood gas sampling, administration of medical gases and inhaled medications, complete ventilator management, and hemodynamic monitoring. Additional areas of practice may be added to standards with required competency maintenance.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Manager, International Fellowship/Respiratory Care Services to oversee & manage daily activities of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System (SMHCS) Respiratory Care Services at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, FL.
