OMG is a global company operating manufacturing facilities in Massachusetts, Illinois, and Minnesota.</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>The OMG Product Development and Innovation team is focused on developing compelling and innovative new products, and improving our existing products to better meet the needs of professional contractors and building specifiers in the markets we serve. The Project Manager uses OMG's gated development to guide the cross-functional Project Team to develop compelling and innovative new products and improve our existing products. This key position is responsible for comprehensive project management, from ideation to launch, including timeline management, cross-organization communications, and overall team management. The Project Manager must be a strong communicator, manage their time efficiently, possess strong organizational skills, and above all, be an enthusiastic team player.</p> <p>Position Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Promote Safety as the Number One priority of all OMG employees. </li><li>Manage a cross-functional development team to develop and launch innovative product solutions that meet customer, cost, schedule, and scope requirements. </li><li>Take a leadership role in executing OMG's Project management and Stage Gate Processes. </li><li>Create and maintain project timelines. Proactively communicating substantial timeline changes to key stake holders </li><li>Hold project team members accountable for their relevant tasks. </li><li>Identify constraints, work with the team to develop countermeasures, and involve Vice President New Product Development and Innovation as needed. </li><li>Coordinate weekly project update meetings, including slide and chart updates. </li><li>Manage 3 - 5 Projects concurrently. </li><li>Perform other tasks as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Position Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree. </li><li>2 or more years' experience in project management. </li><li>Working knowledge and experience using Microsoft Project. </li><li>Experience with handling multiple aspects of project management including coordination both with the organization and with internal and external stakeholders. </li><li>Knowledge of principles of project management and stage gate decision-making process. </li><li>Experience with continuous improvement activities relating to engineering and other business processes. </li><li>Demonstrated hands-on aptitude, construction and/or mechanical. </li><li>Creative, tenacious, and a problem solver. </li><li>Self-starter, highly motivated, and a strong sense of personal accountability. </li><li>Excellent communication skills, written and oral. </li><li>Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite. </li><li>Positive can-do attitude. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to operate a motor vehicle while maintaining focus on safe driving and avoiding all distractions when behind the wheel, especially cell phones. </li><li>Ability to stand, walk and sit for long periods of time; talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; handle or feel objects or controls, reach with hands and arms; and occasionally lift/push/pull/carry up to 25 pounds. </li></ul> <p>Must be able to complete all essential job functions listed in the position responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.</p>
