<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Athletics/Assistant Athletic Director, Middle School</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>8/8/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>BDJ Multi-Magnet Middle School Campus</p> <p>&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Athletic Director</p> <p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Annual Schedule D Position, Seasonal</p> <p>PRIMARY FUNCTION: Assisting with planning, organizing, and coaching of the Middle School Athletics</p> <p>TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Design and facilitate practices, workout, and training for Coaches. </li><li>Ensure appropriate equipment is available and set up for Coaches practices and meets. </li><li>Provide instruction during meets and practices to participants, other coaches, and spectators. </li><li>Ensure clear communication with participants and parents; respond in a timely manner to information request, comments, and complaints. </li><li>Communicate with Athletic Director to coordinate plans or resolve problems, report accidents and incidents, and record/maintain data. </li><li>Ensure the safety of guests and program participants and enforce all rules and policies with assistance of event staff. </li><li>Respond to emergencies and administer first aid, CPR and/or other medical attention as needed. </li><li>Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Current Connecticut Coaching Certification </li><li>Fist Aid and CPR certification </li><li>Ability to successfully perform the performance responsibilities of the position. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Bilingual </li></ul> <p>New London Public School District is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.</p> <p>Candidates from diverse racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply.</p>
