<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Soulard School is seeking full-time elementary classroom co-teachers for the 2025-2026 school year. Co-teachers are pairs of certified elementary teachers who share a classroom of 24 students and work together to plan and implement lessons. For more information about our model and approach to education, visit our website, www.soulardschool.org.</p> <p>Major Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Work collaboratively with co-teacher to build and implement lesson plans and curriculum based on student interests, student needs, and grade level standards </li><li>Create units of study that integrate learning across subjects </li><li>Create a positive educational climate for student learning </li><li>Build and maintain positive relationships with families, as well as strong communication between home and school. </li><li>Attend school events as specified in the teacher contract. </li><li>Develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and peers. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or higher in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education or related field required </li><li>Possess, or be able to acquire, Missouri state teacher certification in Elementary or Early Childhood Education </li><li>At least one year of teaching experience in an elementary setting preferred (public or nonpublic). </li></ul> <p>Required Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Warm and supportive attitude and disposition toward working with children and their families. </li><li>Reliable in attendance. </li><li>Willing to accept supervision in order to improve work performance. </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Physically able to perform the job of a teacher of young children. </li></ul> <p>General Pay and Contract Provisions</p> <ul> <li>40 hour work week with hours between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm </li><li>School year to run mid-August through early June, with professional development beginning 8/6/25 </li><li>Health and retirement benefits including participation in Public School Retirement System of St. Louis pension plan </li></ul> <p>Please send cover letter, resume, copies of certifications, and at least 3 professional references to employment@soulardschool.org.</p> <p>You are navigating off of REAP site to the district's posting.</p> <p>OK</p>
