<p>GENERAL SUMMARY:</p> <ul> <li>Under minimal supervision, facilitates the transfer of patients to Henry Ford Health in a safe, successful and efficient manner. Coordinates all aspects of patient transfers. </li><li>Utilizes clinical expertise to prioritize patient transfers based upon urgency/acuity, mode of transportation (ground or air), transfer care, quality assessment, etc. </li><li>Evaluates and coordinates the flow process of taking calls and facilitating the acceptance/triage of calls throughout the transfer center. </li><li>May perform the duties and responsibilities of the Bed Management RN. </li></ul> <p>Training will take place at the Elijah McCoy Building and although a remote role there may be times when coming on site is required as part of the remote work agreement.</p> <p>Position: 36 hours per week</p> <ul> <li>Shift: Days </li><li>Every other weekend and Holiday Rotations </li><li>Benefits: Full time benefit package </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. </li><li>Two (2) years of RN clinical experience required. </li><li>Experience in an acute care setting preferred. </li><li>Ability to effectively communicate clinical information and interact effectively with physicians and staff to achieve quality outcomes required. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work in high-stress, high-acuity setting, adaptable to rapidly changing work environment and to direct and control multiple critical communication events simultaneously required. </li></ul> <p>CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>Current license to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <ul> <li>Organization: Corporate Services </li><li>Department: System Command Center </li><li>Shift: Day Job </li><li>Union Code: Not Applicable </li></ul>
