<p>Job Description</p> <p>Description</p> <p>SAIC is seeking a Junior Field Technician to support our Department of Energy client.</p> <p>Primary duties will include:</p> <ul> <li>Communicating effectively and professionally with customers, organizational IT Points of Contact, management, coworkers, via email, MS Teams chat, phone calls </li><li>Disconnecting/moving/reconnecting IT equipment (laptops, desktops, docking stations, monitors, printers, scanners, etc.) </li><li>Removal and wiping of HDDs and SSDs </li><li>Updating asset assignment and/or location in DOE's personalized Service Now instance (aka DAYS) </li><li>Installing hardware and related drivers (printers, scanners, dual-monitor stands) </li><li>Troubleshooting hardware, including but not limited to laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, other peripherals </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education and Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High School and three (3) years or more related experience </li><li>Must be a US Citizen </li><li>Experience installing, replacing, troubleshooting hardware preferred </li><li>Experience with MS Windows preferred Experience with ServiceNow </li><li>Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position which involves a significant amount of standing, walking, bending, disconnecting and reconnecting cables and peripherals, physically picking up hardware. May involve reaching under desks, behind desks in potentially dirty/dusty locations </li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q clearance </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>A+ Preferred </li><li>Familiarity with Active Directory </li></ul> <p>Job Location:</p> <ul> <li>Primarily the Department of Energy's Forrestal building, but some travel may be required between Washington, DC locations and the Germantown, MD location </li></ul> <p>Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000.
