This position will oversee the work with Legal, Tax, Compliance, Investment Accounting and TruStage Capital Advisors Cash Management and Investment professionals to facilitate and coordinate closing deals. Manage the closing transactions for assigned asset class committed to TruStage Capital Advisors. The role will also lead and manage the servicing and monitoring of portfolios for TruStage Capital Advisors on behalf of CUNA Mutual Insurance Society. This position is also responsible for gathering, analyzing, and reporting investment data, maintaining accuracy of systems, monitoring portfolio compliance and trade settlement, and participating in select projects. Participates in and contributes toward the development of the investment operation's investment processes and policies that achieve the objectives of investment operations.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Recommend and/or approve servicing requests from mortgage banking correspondents.</p> </li><li> <p>Review all borrower requests including, but not limited to, estate planning transfers, assumptions, partial release, condemnation requests, insurance losses, escrow and cash flow sweep disbursements.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure servicing responses adhere to terms of the loan documents unless otherwise negotiated.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with internal & external counsel, production team, and correspondent servicers to ensure timely response to servicing requests.</p> </li><li> <p>Act as liaison to correspondent servicers and address any concerns surrounding the servicing agreement, servicing manual, and/or their performance as necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee progress of annual financial review and inspections to ensure full completion.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with legal, mortgage bankers, producers to ensure timely closing of CMLs.</p> </li><li> <p>Review and sign off on loan terms in PLM for each loan closed.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage and develop junior staff (currently Jr Analyst - Closing, Servicing & Investment Ops & CML Closing Specialist).</p> </li><li> <p>Assess closing & servicing workflow and assign closings and requests to staff as necessary to ensure timely response and execution of such transactions and requests.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with junior staff to allow time and space for individual professional development as their career interests evolve.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor evolution of closing & servicing department as the CML portfolio grows and needs change.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor and stay up to date on industry trends and changes.</p> </li><li> <p>Actively participate in MBA peer groups including (but not limited to): Life Company Servicer's Executive Roundtable, Closers Roundtable, Servicer Counsel, mPact Servicing Advisory Committee, and CCMS Committee.</p> </li><li> <p>Complete RBC reporting on quarterly basis.</p> </li><li> <p>Act as main point of contact for all audit requests; internal, Deloitte, and servicer or borrower.</p> </li><li> <p>Ad hoc reporting to production team and senior TruStage Capital Advisors leadership.</p> </li><li> <p>Act as a liason with third party sub-advisor on settlement and management of residential whole loans.</p> </li></ul> <p>The above statement of duties is not intended to be all inclusive and other duties will be assigned from time to time.</p> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.</p> </li><li> <p>10+ years' experience in Servicing and Closing Commercial Mortgage Loans.</p> </li><li> <p>Commercial Certified Mortgage Service Designation Preferred (Mortgage Bankers Association Program).</p> </li><li> <p>Strong interpersonal and demonstrated team-building and coaching skills; proven teamwork and collaboration.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences in an informal setting.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to interact effectively with and influence other functional areas as required through collaborative relationships.</p> </li></ul> <p>#LI-LT</p> <p>If you're ready to help make a difference, apply today.
