<p>POSITION OVERVIEW:</p> <p>The Front Line Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations on the shop floor within a steel fabrication and welding environment. This role ensures production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The Supervisor will oversee a team of welders, laborers, and machine operators while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.</p> <p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma/GED Required </li><li>Reliability, dependability, and punctuality are a must. </li><li>Minimum 3-5 years of experience in steel fabrication and welding, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership, or supervisory role. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel </li><li>Understanding of ISO requirements (9001, 14001, and 45001) </li><li>Understanding of AWS D1.1 Welding Code </li><li>Experience with implementing/maintaining lean manufacturing tools. </li><li>Good organizational skills and attention to detail </li><li>Strong math, verbal, and literacy skills </li><li>OSHA 30 Certification preferred </li><li>Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. </li></ul> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the production team </li><li>Ensure production demands and deadlines are met without compromising safety or quality. </li><li>Assist in planning production utilization on a daily/weekly basis </li><li>Train employees on all necessary equipment in one-on-one or group sessions </li><li>Document training observations and follow up sessions </li><li>Enforce compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards </li><li>Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to assign tasks and provide guidance to production personnel </li><li>Ensure proper use of welding and fabrication equipment. </li><li>Communicate production downtimes/inefficiencies to the Plant Superintendent </li><li>Participate in and support lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement programs. </li><li>Enforce proper record keeping for: production output, quality checks, timecards, and scrap. </li><li>Foster a team-oriented environment with a focus on employee engagement and development. </li><li>Keep a positive & helpful attitude </li></ul> <p>SCHEDULE:</p> <ul> <li>45-55 hour work weeks </li><li>Monday through Friday (Fridays are tentative) </li><li>5:30am - 4:30pm </li><li>Excellent benefits include medical with a standard PPO plan with deductibles as low as $1,500 and wellness credit up to $750; free concierge primary care; voluntary 401k plan currently matching up to 12%; voluntary dental and vision plans; free telemedicine services; basic life, long and short-term disability coverage. </li></ul> <p>EOE M/F/D/V</p>
