Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.</p> <p>Secure Care Treatment Aides care for patients with severe and persistent mental illness within an OMH secure intensive treatment unit or forensic facility. Additional duties include:</p> <ul> <li>Observe and monitor patients </li><li>Apply therapeutic techniques to stabilize patients </li><li>Record notes on patient behaviors </li><li>Apply physical restrains to patients as ordered by physician </li><li>Maintain a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (HELPS) program.
