As an Oakwood Staff Accountant</p> <p>As an Oakwood Homes Staff Accountant, the essential duties and Responsibilities. This position will provide GL Accounting and operational support to the entire department.</p> <ul> <li>Perform monthly reconciliations, accountant analysis and maintain documentation related to various balance sheet accounts (i.e. cash, receivables, prepaid's, fixed assets, WIP, deposits, line of credit, accruals, etc.) </li><li>Prepare journal entries for customer deposits and AJE as needed </li><li>Daily Cash and deposits </li><li>Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes </li><li>Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data </li><li>Perform related projects as assigned </li><li>Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures </li><li>Facilitate the month-end close process by preparing journal entries, reviewing and completing all assigned month-end functions </li></ul> <p>Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>BA/BS in Accounting related degree required </li><li>1-2 years or more of accounting experience preferred </li><li>Previous homebuilding / construction experience preferred </li><li>Experience providing business support in a busy environment. </li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with internal and external customers. </li><li>Ability to follow defined business processes </li><li>Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. </li><li>Solid computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook) required </li></ul> <p>You Have:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. </li><li>Ability to maintain regular, punctual in person attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. </li><li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. </li><li>Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly </li></ul> <p>Benefits & Perks</p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive benefits package includes Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA accounts, 401K, Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, and EAP </li><li>Time Off benefits include Vacation, Sick, Holiday, Bereavement, Jury Duty, FMLA, refresh, floating holidays, and parental leave </li><li>Home purchase discount </li><li>Tuition Reimbursement </li><li>Expected Salary: $58-$60K Annual This position is eligible for additional performance incentives in the form of quarterly bonus opportunity. </li></ul> <p>All benefits are subject to qualification and hire dates.</p> <p>Business Unit -</p> <p>Oakwood Homes</p>
