The products that we offer are unique in design, and some include patented features. Products have been developed and tested in accordance with IEEE, ANSI, and NEMA standards for high voltage equipment. They are primarily used by investor-owned and public electric utilities and large industrial operations in substation, distribution, transmission, and generation applications.</p> <p>All company operations take place in a modern 218,300 sq. ft. multi-site facility situated on 20 acres east of Trafford, PA. The facility houses virtually all resources for product realization, including engineering, supply chain, parts fabrication, electro-mechanical assembly, and testing. Fabrication capabilities include laser and plasma cutting, CNC machining, CNC punching, and automated bending and forming. The company also utilizes specialized processes, such as MIG and TIG welding, friction welding, silver and tin electroplating, and silver brazing.</p> <p>Cleaveland/Price's employee-focused culture plays an important role in being recognized by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as being a Top Workplace in the Pittsburgh region. The company is driven by the caring people that we employ: the heart and soul of the Cleaveland/Price product line.</p> <p>Your Goal</p> <p>As an Assembler at Cleaveland Price you may work in a number of different departments putting together sub-assemblies of various sizes or combining sub-assemblies together to create a unitized product.</p> <p>Your Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Read blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation to assemble fabricated metal products or electrical equipment. </li><li>Utilize power and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks. </li><li>Maintains internal electronic system records. </li><li>Reports production concerns and product inconsistencies. </li><li>Inventories tools, parts, and supplies. </li><li>Periodically checks/tests products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor. </li><li>Successfully obtain and maintain crane and fork truck certification in applicable departments. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Your Background</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>< 1 year of related industry/manufacturing/production experience </li><li>Basic computer skills </li><li>Operate small hand and power tools </li><li>Effectively read a tape measure </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Regularly required to move in and out of out several departments on the shop floor; traverse a ladder; grasp items from different heights; position self to move and retrieve items on the floor or above on a shelf; fine motor skills, transport up to 30 pounds </li><li>Communicate with discern. </li><li>Detect safety alarms that are audible and/or visual. </li><li>Requires concentration, accuracy, and focused mental effort while multi-tasking in a team environment. </li><li>Occasional requirement to drive vehicles such as fork trucks, cherry pickers, and mobile elevated work platform lifts etc. </li><li>Ability to wear standard personal protective equipment (PPE) required while on the shop floor or in other work area where mandated (i.e. steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and/or other applicable PPE). </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Company paid premiums for medical, dental and vision coverage </li><li>401k plan with company match (6% dollar for dollar match along with profit share deposit after one year of service) </li><li>Company paid life insurance with the option of purchasing additional voluntary life </li><li>Company paid short- and long-term disability and AD&D insurance </li><li>Company paid Employee Assistance Program </li><li>Company paid Lifelock coverage </li></ul> <p>This job description is not intended to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
