The Cardiac Sonographer presents a pleasing and helpful manner to the patient, physicians, visitors, members of the department, and all other medical personnel. The Cardiac Sonographer exhibits courteous behavior when addressing the general public and outside hospital related agencies. The Cardiac Sonographer supports and contributes to departmental and hospital objectives by functioning as a technologist in all aspects of echocardiography.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Performs transthoracic echocardiograms (2D, 3D, M-Mode, Doppler, Color Flow, Strain) </li><li>Performs stress echocardiograms </li><li>Performs contrast enhanced echocardiograms </li><li>Assists with transesophageal echocardiograms (Depending on facility) </li><li>Performs patient assessment </li><li>Performs quality control </li><li>Performs cardiac stress testing (Depending on facility) </li><li>Performs EKG's, and places Holter monitors </li><li>Performs equipment cleaning and maintenance </li><li>Provides patient, family, hospital staff, and physician education </li></ul> <p>Shift Requirements</p> <p>Shift Length (in hours):</p> <p>9 (Varies per facility)</p> <p># Shifts/Week:</p> <p>4 (Varies per facility)</p> <p>Overtime Required:</p> <p>?
