<p>The Syracuse University Office of Athletic Communications is looking to hire two assistants to fulfill a 10-month commitment beginning in July of 2025. The successful candidates will possess a strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and the long-term goal of working in the athletic communications profession.</p> <p>The paid assistant positions begin July 2025 and end May 2026. They include a housing option.</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree and have work experience in a related field. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Knowledge</p> <ul> <li>The position requires strong writing skills, in addition to experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere, NCAA Live Stats, Stat Crew and all social media platforms. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Serving as the primary contacts for assigned Olympic sports and secondary contacts for football, men's and women's basketball, and men's and women's lacrosse. </li><li>Creating content (photography, videography, and graphics) for social media accounts. </li><li>Managing social media accounts and website (Cuse.com) content creation and management. </li><li>Providing media training for coaches and student-athletes. </li><li>Serving as a liaison with local and national media. </li><li>Assisting with supervision of student staff. </li><li>Travelling with assigned teams. </li><li>Recording statistics and maintaining archives. </li><li>Providing information to the NCAA, Atlantic Coast Conference and College Hockey America. </li></ul> <p>Syracuse's 20-sport athletic program is affiliated with NCAA Division I and the Atlantic Coast Conference.</p> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>Not Applicable</p> <p>Tools/Equipment</p> <p>Not Applicable</p> <p>Application Instructions</p> <p>In addition to completing an online application, please attach a resume and cover letter.</p>
