USM serves about 1,400 students at its main campus in Leavenworth, its satellite location in Overland Park, as well as online.</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>Serve as an athletic trainer for fall, winter, spring, and off-season events for men's and women's athletics. Will work under the direction of the Head Athletic Trainer helping to perform professional level athletic training duties involved with prevention, care, evaluation, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Attendance at practices and games for sports assignments.</p> </li><li> <p>Attend office hours for evaluations, treatments, and rehabilitation appointments.</p> </li><li> <p>Athletic training room duties will include but are not limited to:</p> </li><li> <p>Daily cleaning & maintenance of the McGilley, Ryan, and Berkel Stadium athletic training rooms.</p> </li><li> <p>Towel laundering for both McGilley and Ryan athletic training rooms as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Stocking and inventory of supplies in McGilley and Ryan athletic training rooms.</p> </li><li> <p>Medical paperwork filing.</p> </li><li> <p>Assisting with insurance paperwork/claims.</p> </li><li> <p>Travel is required for all conference games and some non-conference games.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform additional job related duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>CPR/AED certified </li><li>Certified BOC Athletic Trainer </li><li>Graduate of a CAATE approved athletic training program </li><li>Masters in associated field preferred </li><li>Licensed or license eligible in the state of Kansas and Missouri </li><li>Affinity for the overall mission of the University of Saint Mary </li><li>Valid Driver's License </li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Proven ability in the field of Athletic Training in the areas of taping, evaluation of injuries, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. 2-4 years of related experience. </li></ul> <p>TO APPLY:</p> <p>Submit a cover letter, resume and contact information for at least three current professional references.</p> <p>Saint Mary is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</p> <p>Questions: email human resources at hr@stmary.edu</p>
