<p>3rd Grade Special Education Integrated Teacher</p> <p>The Elementary Special Education Integrated Teacher plays a critical role in supporting the success of students with disabilities in the general education classroom. Their expertise in differentiating instruction, collaborating with colleagues, and advocating for students helps to create an inclusive and welcoming learning environment for all. She/he will provide specialized instruction and support to 12 students with disabilities and 13 general education model peers within the general education classroom setting. Your role is crucial, as you will work closely with two full-time Paraprofessionals, general education teachers, related service providers, and families to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure that general and special education students have access to high-quality education. Your specialized instruction will significantly enhance student learning, making your role vital to the school's mission.</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Create an inviting, exciting, innovative learning environment in which to provide direct instruction to students with IEPs and general education students; </li><li>In collaboration with IEP Team members develop individualized IEP goals, progress monitor through data review; </li><li>Collaborate with service providers to implement IEP goals and modify curriculum and instruction to meet the diverse needs of students; </li><li>Consult with the grade-level teaching team regularly to review general education student progress; </li><li>Document and report student progress toward achievement of annual goals by collecting and interpreting data; </li><li>Adapt curriculum, materials, and instructional strategies to meet student's individual needs; </li><li>Utilize technology and other tools to support student learning and engagement; </li><li>Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and other professionals regarding student progress and needs; </li><li>Provide supervision and training to two dedicated Paraprofessionals working with students in the classroom daily; </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>License: Must hold Moderate Disabilities (PreK-8) and Elementary (1-6) educator licenses issued by the Massachusetts DESE with Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsement. </li><li>Experience: Previous experience working with elementary-aged students with disabilities is preferred. </li></ul>
