<p>College: Fletcher Technical Community College</p> <p>Department: Academic Affairs & Initiatives</p> <p>Sub department: Business, Ed, Arts, Math & Sciences (BEAMS)</p> <p>Type of Appointment: Part time - Temporary</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Design and develop relevant STEM outreach activities for K-12 grade students </li><li>Plan and schedule at least 6 events/activities with local schools, libraries, community events, after-school programs, etc. for implementation of outreach activities </li><li>Collect demographic data on participants, including parents/guardians and teachers, at outreach events </li><li>Submit final report of activities at end of fiscal year (deadline: June 30, 2026) </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Note: This is a temporary, part-time position (ends June 30, 2026) that pays on an hourly basis as each activity is completed. Pay does not exceed $3,300 for the fiscal year.</p> <p>Required Education: Bachelor's degree or an Associate's degree plus 5 years of experience.</p> <p>Preferred Experience: Background in STEM or sciences. Experience in designing and developing STEM outreach activities for K-12th grade students. Experience in engaging youth in STEM activities.</p> <p>Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required as a condition of employment.
