The successful individual thrives in an innovative, fast-paced environment, can roll up their sleeves, work hard, have fun, and get the job done.</p> <p>The Gig:</p> <ul> <li>Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members on multiple teams. </li><li>Leadership responsibilities for an Agile Product Delivery / Continuous Integration / DevOps - centric IT organization. Direct leadership of Java Engineers and Tech Leads. </li><li>Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results. </li><li>Manage and maintain staff levels by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. </li><li>Manage and maintain staff job results by planning, monitoring, appraising job results, counseling, and executing performance management plans. </li><li>Collaborate and communicate with other business stakeholders to create high-level design concepts. </li><li>Innovative modern design and analysis of enhancements </li><li>Deliver code based on commitments. </li><li>Actively participate in discussions, coding, and testing. </li><li>Develop core web application changes using JAVA and XSL </li><li>Test and document coding changes. </li><li>Present application enhancements to team </li><li>Manage workload daily to deliver on sprint commitments. </li><li>Communicate design strategy that will achieve business goals of the user story while ensuring technical integrity. </li><li>Creative thinking and propose solutions to grow our business by delighting our clients. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li><li>Comply with all policies and standards. </li></ul> <p>What you need to make the cut:</p> <ul> <li>BS in Computer Science, MIS, or Computer Engineering </li><li>Extensive Agile Delivery experience </li><li>10 - 12+ years' experience with Large Scale Enterprise Development </li><li>Previous experience (5+ years) leading software engineering teams </li><li>Extensive knowledge of JAVA, SQL, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery, Object Oriented programming and relational databases (Oracle) </li><li>Highly motivated, Innovative, self-directed thinker with an eagerness to stay up to date with current trends and a desire to impress. </li><li>Ability to deal with ambiguity. </li><li>Ability to grow strong, self-directed Engineers. </li><li>Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with the Businessolver leadership team, the business and technical teams. </li><li>A knack for problem solving, in a fast paced, Agile environment. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree (MBA, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields) preferred. </li><li>Experience with LINUX, Eclipse IDE, GIT, JIRA, Agile Development Methodology, and XSL is a plus. </li><li>Experience within the following industries highly preferred - Benefits Administration, Information Technology, Software Product Development. </li><li>Any experience of development in the following areas is helpful: </li><li>AWS and AWS Lambda's </li><li>User interface development </li><li>Mobile development with HTML5 or Swift </li><li>Bootstrap, JQuery, or React Native </li><li>Billing and Payroll </li><li>Data import/export, SSO, or large-scale EDI </li></ul> <p>The pay range for this position is $122,000 to $190,500 per year (pay to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, balanced against internal equity and competitive market based geographic ranges).</p> <p>This role is eligible to participate in the bonus incentive plan.</p> <p>Interested?
