<p>Description</p> <p>KEY REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED </li><li>One year of administrative support/clerical experience </li><li>Knowledge of court practices, procedures, and legal terminology </li><li>Knowledge of clerical support practices and procedures </li><li>Ability to type at least 35 correct words per minute </li></ul> <p>SUMMARY</p> <p>The Administrative Assistant provides significantly responsible work performing a variety of administrative and secretarial duties. The Administrative Assistant must possess strong organization and time management skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for answering phones, filing, reviewing incoming documents, conducting research, preparing reports, and managing multiple calendars. The Administrative Assistant must be adaptable to multiple and changing priorities. This position must be able to maintain a high level of professionalism and is responsible for handling confidential and sensitive information.</p> <p>An Administrative Assistant's primary responsibilities include the following: (1) Courtroom assignments; (2) Back up for Judicial Assistants; (3) Court Administration Duties; (4) Other Duties as Assigned</p> <p>Examples of Duties</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification.</p> <p>(1) Courtroom Assignments</p> <ul> <li>Assign courtrooms based on Judicial calendars </li><li>Record/update outlook calendar for training and conference rooms </li><li>Assist in scheduling depositions </li></ul> <p>(2) Back-up for Judicial Assistants</p> <ul> <li>When required, provide Judicial assistance with phone coverage and mail processing to assigned Judge's office </li></ul> <p>(3) Court Administration Duties</p> <ul> <li>Provide support to Court Administration receptionist as required </li><li>Assist in completing disqualifications, recusals, and reassignment orders. </li><li>Assist in Processing ADA requests to include informing the person of requirements, form completion and submission to appropriate departments, and maintain required records </li><li>Assist with public requests </li><li>Assist with processing of facilities work orders </li><li>Update monitors daily </li></ul> <p>(4) Other Duties as Assigned</p> <p>Typical Qualifications</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
