Should incumbents work more than a total of 999 hours in a year the appointment may not continue beyond one year of service.</p> <p>Colgate University, a NCAA DI member of the Patriot League and ECAC Hockey conferences, invites applicants for the Events & Marketing Coordinator position within its Athletics Department. This position reports to the Associate Athletics Director for Facilities, and the Associate Athletic Director for Marketing. The events & marketing coordinator is expected to adhere to all NCAA, Patriot League, ECAC Hockey and Colgate University rules and regulations.</p> <p>Accountabilities</p> <p>The events & marketing coordinator will assist with game day operations, development and implementation of athletics marketing plan, community event planning, group ticket sales, and corporate sponsorships.</p> <p>Game Day Events/Operations Responsibilities (85%):</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a member of the event management staff </li><li>Serve as the home event manager for select Colgate sports </li><li>Assist in set-up and break down of home events </li><li>Assist in managing facilities upkeep and scheduling </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Marketing Responsibilities (15%):</p> <ul> <li>Assists to develop, direct, and enhance in-game promotions </li><li>Assists with implementing marketing initiatives to increase attendance through local community outreach </li><li>Assist with group ticket sales </li><li>Assist with social media campaigns </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Professional Experience/ Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>One (1) year of relevant event management and/or marketing experience </li><li>Ability to work outside typical business hours including nights, weekends, and holidays · Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time </li><li>Ability to bend, reach, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds </li><li>A passion for Intercollegiate Athletics </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience in Event Management and/or Marketing preferred </li><li>Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks </li><li>Strong interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills </li><li>Able to deal with multiple tasks or projects at one time </li><li>Proficient with computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite) </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <p>Bachelor's degree is preferred. Will also consider a combination of education and equivalent work experience, as well as college/university college internship credit program.</p> <p>Physical Requirements Other Information</p> <p>A current valid driver's license, in accordance with the University's Driver Safety and Motor Vehicle Use Policy, is required.</p>
