Various training opportunities are provided for our employees.</p> <p>The location of this position will be in the following county: Kanawha.</p> <p>Requirements for this position include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>A valid driver's license or a valid state ID and dependable transportation are required.</p> </li><li> <p>Travel to various State Agencies to perform work and maintain accurate mileage records.</p> </li><li> <p>Regular attendance is an essential part of this position.</p> </li></ul> <p>Job Description:</p> <ul> <li>Under limited supervision this position performs research, design, testing, and configuration of Enterprise standard computer images for all Offices, Bureaus, and Divisions on the statewide Executive network. The specialist also provides backup support for core systems and collaborates with various technology groups to maintain and enhance the network environment, ensuring system security and operational integrity. </li></ul> <p>Key Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Image and Configuration Management: Research, design, test, and configure Enterprise standard computer images. Review requests for and, if necessary, design and build custom computer images for specific Offices/Bureaus/Divisions. Research, design, test, and implement Enterprise KIOSK machines across the state based on agency needs.</p> </li><li> <p>System Operations and Support: Serve as backup to the System Configuration Management team and Active Directory Team to ensure the Executive Domain services remain operational. Maintain and support the RightFax environment. Work with team members on software deployment and patches using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaboration and Problem Resolution: Collaborate with vendors, application developers, system management, and other technology groups to provide resolution and enhancements to the current network environment. Successful completion of twelve credit hours or the equivalent thereof of industry recognized authorized/certified LAN administration, network service/support and/or network technologies training may substitute for one year of the required training.</p> <p>Experience:Five years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in information processing field, one year of which is experience in local area network administration support and/or networking of standalone, mainframe, minicomputer, and LAN connected microcomputers and two years of which is experience in installation of hardware and software, support and/or training.</p> <p>Substitution:Twelve hours of computer science or data processing may substitute for one year of information processing experience excluding PC and LAN administration support.</p>
