At FJUHSD, we believe in the power of community, innovation, and excellence to ensure that every student has the opportunity to reach their highest potential.</p> <p>SPRINKLER MAINTENANCE WORKER</p> <p>BASIC FUNCTION:</p> <p>Under supervision, install, maintain, and repair sprinkler systems; and perform related duties as required.</p> <p>EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Repair and/or replace broken sprinkler lines, pipes, broken valves, hosebibbs, and other parts;</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain, adjust program, and repair time clocks and automatic control valves;</p> </li><li> <p>Measure, cut, and thread pipe;</p> </li><li> <p>Lay out and install sprinkler systems; dig trenches by hand and/or with a trenching machine; repair valves, heads, and lines; lay galvanized and plastic pipe; install remote control, valves, and copper tubing to receive maximum coverage within available pressure;</p> </li><li> <p>Inspect sprinkler systems; take corrective action as necessary;</p> </li><li> <p>Repair and replace sprinkler and field heads;</p> </li><li> <p>Requisition and purchase parts and supplies;</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain records of repairs and material replacement; and</p> </li><li> <p>Perform miscellaneous plumbing tasks as assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>KNOWLEDGE OF:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Different types of sprinklers;</p> </li><li> <p>Pumps, flow valves, pressure switches, time clock controllers, and related equipment; and</p> </li><li> <p>Mechanical procedures for sprinkler systems;</p> </li></ol> <p>ABILITY TO:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Use power and hand tools related to sprinkler installation;</p> </li><li> <p>Follow verbal and written instructions;</p> </li><li> <p>Lift; and</p> </li><li> <p>Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.</p> </li></ol> <p>EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION:</p> <p>Any combination equivalent to:</p> <ol> <li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent; and</p> </li><li> <p>Two years of experience as an assistant in the plumbing trade and/or sprinkler maintenance repair.</p> </li></ol> <p>LICENSE REQUIRED:</p> <ol> <li>Possession of a valid State of California Driver’s License. </li></ol> <p>Please submit the online application and attach the following: •A current resume outlining two years of experience as an assistant in the plumbing trade and/or sprinkler maintenance repair field•Proof of High School Diploma/GED•Valid State of California Class C Driver's License</p> <p>Refer to the job posting for a list of required skills or if you have any questions or need further clarification, please contact the email address listed in the posting.</p> <p>Please submit the online application and attach the following: •A current resume outlining two years of experience as an assistant in the plumbing trade and/or sprinkler maintenance repair field •Proof of High School Diploma/GED •Valid State of California Class C Driver's License</p> <p>Comments and Other Information</p> <p>114759</p>
