This role is responsible for delivering person-centered care while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and efficient clinic operations. The role requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and adherence to practice protocols and New York State laws.</p> <p>Roles and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform clinical duties and procedures within the certified medical assistant's scope of practice, adhering to NYS laws and practice protocols. </li><li>Record patients' vital signs, document medical history, medications, and allergies, and prepare exam rooms for patient visits. </li><li>Assist physicians and providers with clinical inquiries, prescription refills, test results, and patient calls following practice protocols. </li><li>Prepare patient records before visits, ensuring accuracy and completeness. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Completion of yearly mandatory safety in-services and/or training. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred. </li><li>Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in Pain Management. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., computer keyboard use). </li><li>Lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs.), including boxes, equipment, and medical supplies. </li><li>Stooping, kneeling, and reaching for supplies and filing. </li><li>Sitting, standing, and walking for prolonged periods (4-8 hours). </li><li>Ability to operate medical equipment used in daily tasks. </li></ul> <p>Location, Travel, and Shift Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Onsite - Cayuga Medical Center, 101 Dates Dr., Ithaca, NY 14850. </li><li>Onsite - Cayuga Medical Center, East Campus, 17 Arrowwood Dr., Ithaca, NY 14850. </li><li>Full-time (37.5 hours per week), Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range Disclosure:</p> <ul> <li>$18-$22 per hour based on experience </li></ul> <p>Cayuga Health System and its affiliates are committed to equitable healthcare and workplace inclusivity.
