<p>The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis plays a critical role in shaping the financial strategy of Appleton Group's global business. Based at our global headquarters in Rosemont, IL, this role leads enterprise-wide forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning while partnering closely with senior leaders to drive informed, data-backed decisions. This is an opportunity to influence business outcomes, develop talent, and advance modern finance capabilities within a global organization!</p> <p>In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:</p> <ul> <li>Provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including preparing board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, acquisition analysis and other projects requested by senior management </li><li>Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and asset management </li><li>Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance </li><li>Manage and lead the FP&A team and provide guidance to the World Area finance leaders for Appleton Group </li><li>Oversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling tools </li><li>Conduct ad-hoc reporting and analysis along with Quarterly and Monthly Financial reports </li><li>Develop financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives </li><li>Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes </li><li>Drive the advancement of business intelligence and intelligent automation initiatives within the Finance function as well as serving as the Finance Champion for BI/IA programs for the overall business </li><li>Support the Senior Management Team and Department heads with in-depth analysis </li></ul> <p>Who You Are:</p> <p>You consistently apply a business driver and marketplace focus when prioritizing actions. You are recognized by others for displaying superior judgment. You set stretch goals and objectives, pushing individuals or teams to perform at higher levels. You maintain a track record of exceeding goals successfully.</p> <p>For This Role, You Will Need:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree </li><li>Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a corporate or divisional Financial Planning and Analysis environment; this should include 2+ years experience leading a team </li><li>Demonstrated ability to create, implement, and manage FP&A processes, create system reporting and collaborate with team members in a hands-on management capacity </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred / MBA preferred </li><li>Experience in manufacturing environment preferred </li><li>Experience with Hyperon, Business Intelligence tools and automation is a plus </li></ul> <p>Our Culture & Commitment to You:</p> <p>Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process.
