<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Elementary School Teaching/Early Childhood</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>7/17/2024</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Dearborn Schools District Wide</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>ANY TIME</p> <p>District:</p> <p>&nbsp Dearborn Public Schools&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>DEARBORN PUBLIC SCHOOLS</p> <p>PROFESSIONAL STAFF POSITIONS</p> <p>CHILDCARE DEPARTMENT</p> <p>TITLE: Multi-site Childcare Manager for School-Age Childcare Program</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Early Childhood Programs Supervisor</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Completed an Associate's degree in a child-related field or Completed an Bachelor's degree or higher in a child-related field. </li></ul> <p>Child Related field:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Early childhood education.</p> </li><li> <p>Elementary education.</p> </li><li> <p>Secondary education. •</p> </li><li> <p>Special education</p> </li><li> <p>Physical education and recreation.</p> </li><li> <p>Child development.</p> </li><li> <p>Child guidance/counseling.</p> </li><li> <p>Child psychology</p> </li><li> <p>Family studies</p> </li><li> <p>Social work.</p> </li><li> <p>Human services.</p> </li><li> <p>Youth development.</p> </li><li> <p>Current CPR/First Aid infant child certification.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be at least 21 years of age.</p> </li></ul> <ol start="4"> <li> <p>Demonstrate aptitude and or competence for assigned duties and tasks and is of good reputation.</p> </li><li> <p>Be at the site a minimum of one session per week and document site visits with dates and times.</p> </li><li> <p>Multi-site program manager shall meet the 16 hour yearly training requirements not including CPR/First Aid or bloodborne pathogen training.</p> </li></ol> <p>REPORTS TO: Early Childhood Programs Supervisor</p> <p>JOB GOAL: To establish an enriching and fulfilling atmosphere for children and establish appropriate leadership and control within the School-Age Childcare program.</p> <p>ASSIGNED DUTIES</p> <p>& RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Arrive 15 minutes prior to the official starting time of the program.</p> </li><li> <p>Plan, supervise and implement the program in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the school as stipulated in the childcare parent handbook, the childcare administrative and staff handbook and according to the Department of Social Services child day care licensing regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Supervise and observe staff members by visiting sites at least once per week for an entire shift.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure the ordered arrangement, appearance, décor, and learning environment of the classroom(s), delegating and supervising these activities as appropriate. Written feedback to staff will be required as directed by the Early Childhood Programs Supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>Meet with the Early Childhood Programs Supervisor periodically to discuss plans, activities and problems.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist site Leads with the planning and creation of a safe orderly learning environment, setting up interest centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies, delegating and supervising these activities as appropriate..</p> </li><li> <p>Resolve problems with parents, children and staff with a positive, constructive approach. Include the Early Childhood Supervisor in meetings and keep the supervisor informed.</p> </li><li> <p>Check and record attendance; complete sign-in/out sheets, or delegate and supervise these activities as appropriate. Take Sign in/out sheets to the Early Childhood Office weekly. Personally check children's files to ensure that they are complete. Contact the Early Childhood office if they are not.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist site Leads with the planning of indoor and outdoor activities in assigned areas ensuring that they are developmentally appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop effective communication with the parents of children enrolled in the program through email or blogs.</p> </li><li> <p>Periodically check the physical set-up for the lunchroom, schoolroom, and playground equipment and report any routine hazards which would offer actual or potential threat to the children under supervision. This should be done during the weekly visits.</p> </li><li> <p>Report accidents or injuries or any other problems to the building principal, the Early Childhood Programs Supervisor, including the nature of the situation and action taken, and prepare an accident report when necessary as directed by the building principal.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in-service training programs as assigned by the Early Childhood Programs Supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in activities as requested by the building principal, or other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Early Childhood Programs Supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform such other duties as assigned by the Early Childhood Programs Supervisor and/or the Community Education Supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>Substitute at another site if needed.</p> </li></ul> <p>Salary:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Step 1 : $21.39/ Hourly</p> </li><li> <p>Step 2: $22.16/ Hourly</p> </li><li> <p>Step 3: $22.96/ hourly</p> </li></ul> <p>Hours: 6:45am-9:15am, 3:00pm-6:15pm</p> <p>Updated 7/17/2024</p>
