<p>Job Title: Mechanical Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic mechanical engineering team focused on designing, updating, and modifying large, high-speed equipment. The role is primarily centered on capital equipment design and support, along with standardization and technical documentation.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Manage BOM and drawing changes through a standard revision/Engineering Change Order (ECO) process in a PDM controlled system. </li><li>Design and develop parts and assemblies using SolidWorks, including creating models, assembly drawings, and manufacturing/fabrication drawings. </li><li>Gather detailed information on vendor-supplied components and create vendor control drawings. </li><li>Prepare additional mechanical support needed for projects, such as welding/machining fixtures, layout drawings, and field installation procedures. </li><li>Convert legacy drawings from AutoCAD to SolidWorks. </li><li>Check and review drawings and documents for accuracy and errors, ensuring designs and drawings are functional and manufacturable. </li><li>Capture meeting notes from customer interactions to document the needs of customers and changes during projects. </li><li>Track costs, including personal time and expenditures, to maintain budgets and notify appropriate resources of expanded costs. </li><li>Document sources and history of design development throughout the project. </li><li>Interact directly with customers to define the scope of work and understand their needs and wants. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. </li><li>3 plus years of equipment design experience. </li><li>Experience in large fabrication or large/complex assembly design. </li><li>Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling. </li><li>Experience utilizing PDM or other drawing vault systems. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with FEA and/or CFD. </li><li>Experience in high-speed production/automation and automated equipment. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This is a fully onsite position in a large manufacturing facility equipped with automated equipment. The environment is very clean and attached to an updated office space. The facility is fast-paced with a focus on collaboration with assembly techs and operations, as well as programming HMIs and PLCs.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eastlake, OH.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
