Metrea also consists of six support groups (Operations, People, Finance, Legal, Strategy and Solutions) that guide the development of specific capabilities that Metrea's files (product, projects, programs etc.) leverage to achieve their targets.</p> <p>Group Overview</p> <p>Aerospace Engineering Group (AERO) is responsible for developing and delivering Metrea's aviation engineering and integration capabilities, focusing on aircraft modification, system integration, and technical project management. AERO takes mission requirements and transforms them into operational assets by designing, engineering, and integrating new systems and technologies. The group manages aviation project lifecycles, from concept to testing, ensuring aircraft modifications meet performance, safety, and airworthiness standards. With a unified structure, AERO leverages its engineering expertise and project management capabilities to enhance Metrea's aviation fleet, supporting a range of specialized operations through innovation and technical excellence.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Level 3 Avionics Technician is responsible for performing routine avionics maintenance, including testing, removal and replacement of components, wiring installations, pinning, crimping, routing, and troubleshooting of avionics systems. This role requires a minimum of three years of experience working on Metrea aircraft types and operates within the technician's maintenance training and experience.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of applicable maintenance manuals procedures, and advanced troubleshooting techniques relevant to the assigned fleet. While the level 3 Technician reports to the AMT Lead, they are expected to work independently on routine maintenance tasks and frequently mentor less experienced technicians while collaborating on aircraft projects.</p> <p>Role and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics systems and components in accordance with FAA regulations, OEM manuals, and company standards. </li><li>Execute wiring tasks including installation, pinning, crimping, and routing of electrical and avionics systems. </li><li>Conduct functional tests of avionics systems to ensure operational readiness and compliance. </li><li>Interpret and apply technical data from maintenance manuals, schematics, service bulletins, and engineering instructions. </li><li>Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of maintenance activities using systems such as AMOS and Veryon / FlightDocs. </li><li>Work with minimal supervision on routine maintenance tasks and assist in developing solutions to complex technical issues. </li><li>Mentor and support junior technicians by demonstrating proper procedures, sharing technical knowledge, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. </li><li>Coordinate with the AMT Lead, maintenance control, and engineering teams to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks and aircraft readiness. </li><li>Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and compliance protocols during maintenance operations. </li><li>Support aircraft inspections and modification programs as required. </li><li>Stay current with training and certifications relevant to assigned aircraft types and avionics systems. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Experience</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>10+ years of Aircraft Structures Experience and advanced knowledge of Aircraft Systems </li><li>Preferred Certifications and Licenses: A&P Certificate </li><li>Computer Skills: Basic Computer Skills </li></ul> <p>Additional Eligibility Qualifications</p> <p>Proficient in Maintenance Technical Publications, Structural Inspection and Repair Manual, AMOS, and Veryon / FlightDocs for aircraft maintenance tracking, documentation, and compliance.</p> <p>Our Firmware</p> <p>Metrea's single core value, "rooted in humility," is supported by four key attributes: entrepreneurial, systematic, discerning, and over-deliver. The role may require standing, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Technicians must adhere to strict safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
