<p>Overview</p> <p>Performs a wide variety of maintenance and repair to production and plant equipment, the building and related facility systems from the direction of the Team Leader and the department Manager.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Ensure correct and safe operation of Production and support equipment and machinery. </li><li>Troubleshoot and maintain production equipment that includes packaging lines and blow molders, conveyors, electrical systems, pneumatic tools and hydraulic equipment. </li><li>Perform PM's to all equipment in facility. </li><li>Identify faulty equipment through observation, testing, and troubleshooting. </li><li>Source replacement parts and perform repairs. </li><li>Attend daily shift meetings to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime. </li><li>Safely operate cranes, power tools, hoists and hand tools. </li><li>Assess the condition of used parts using micrometers, calipers and specifications. </li><li>Maintain parts and tools inventory. </li><li>Prepare maintenance reports and summary presentations using daily activity logs, analysis and trends. </li><li>Maintain electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical knowledge via on-going training, industry workshops and technical reading. </li><li>Perform building maintenance. </li><li>Repairs/Replaces plumbing fixtures and systems. </li><li>Performs facility and grounds clean up as needed. </li><li>Performs basic metal fabrication using shop equipment. </li><li>Relocates and Rebuilds equipment. </li><li>Performs PM on Fire system. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 3 years industrial maintenance or heavy equipment experience required </li><li>Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics </li><li>Basic understanding of electrical systems </li><li>Capable of operating hand, power and specialized tools </li><li>Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferred </li><li>Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision </li><li>Excellent problem-solving and communication skills </li><li>Advanced technical or college training preferred </li></ul> <p>Equipment Used:</p> <p>Multi-meters, hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, compressors, boilers, snow thrower, shovels, pickup truck, chillers, towers, lift truck, baler, compactor, etc.</p>
