You'll reduce key-person and legacy-system risk by strengthening engineering practices on COBOL/DB2/CICS/MQ, improving test/deploy automation, and capturing/curating system knowledge. You'll also partner across Product, Operations, and distributed engineering to advance our modernization agenda (APIs, data access, and platform simplification), while improving "follow-the-sun" support readiness and cross-site collaboration. The measurable outcome: faster, safer releases; higher availability; and more predictable delivery for our mutual funds ecosystem.</p> <p>Your Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Act as a technical expert on one or more applications used by DTCC </li><li>Work with the Business System Analyst to ensure designs satisfy functional requirements </li><li>Partner with Infrastructure to identify and deploy efficient hosting environments </li><li>Tune application performance to eliminate and reduce issues </li><li>Research and evaluate technical solutions consistent with DTCC technology standards </li><li>Apply different software development methodologies dependent on project needs </li><li>Contribute expertise to the design of components or individual programs, and participate in the construction and functional testing </li><li>Support development teams, testing, troubleshooting, and production support </li><li>Build applications and construct unit test cases that ensure compliance with functional and non-functional requirements </li><li>Work with peers to mature ways of working, continuous integration, and continuous delivery </li><li>Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to supervise and mitigate risk; calls out concerns appropriately </li></ul> <p>NOTE: The Primary Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 6 years of related experience </li><li>Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent experience </li></ul> <p>Talents Needed for Success:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge in Designing and Developing sophisticated Online and Batch Mainframe Application with COBOL as programming language, CICS as TPM, DB2 as RDBMS </li><li>Knowledge on MQ and DB2 Connect as interface to communicate with Distributed Web application. </li><li>Solid understanding in Batch jobs using JCL with Catalog procedures and files (PS/PDS/VSAM) </li><li>Perform and maintain scheduling activities of Batch Schedules using CA-Scheduler </li><li>Expertise in Application programming IDEs for Mainframe (IDZ) </li><li>Solid understanding in Version control/Config. Management tools such as Changeman </li><li>Expertise in reverse-engineering of Mainframe applications involving DB2 and CICS </li><li>Develops a culture where integrity and clarity are encouraged. </li><li>Knows the latest on changes in their own specialist area and seeks out learning opportunities to ensure knowledge is up-to-date. </li><li>Invests effort to individually mentor others. </li><li>Builds collaborative teams across the organization. </li><li>Communicates openly keeping everyone across the organization advised. </li><li>A huge plus with any knowledge of Mutual Funds - Mutual Fund Services (MF) delivers a broad range of innovative transactional and information services to automate, standardize and centralize processes to create efficiencies and reduce cost and risk for the mutual fund marketplace. MF solutions drive business relationships between asset managers and their distributors, linking a vast network including fund companies, investment managers, broker/dealers, banks, trusts, and other financial services firms that offer fund investments to the market. </li></ul> <p>The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
